Val·entin Aubois-Liogier
Artist & Researcher (PhD) based in Paris (FR)

Coming from a design background (holding several master's degrees in Design), I navigate across disciplines and media: designing, writing short texts and poetry, performing, dancing, and creating installations. My work explores socioecological and sociosensory transformations in domestic and urban spaces, engaging with the banal, the liminal, the rejected, the filthy, and the abject. Glimpse of my practice.

From 2021 to 2026, I did a practice-based doctoral research in Design & Urban planning (defended in July 2026) at the CITERES lab (UMR 7324) which explored how users and stakeholders perceive human urine recycling systems, with a particular emphasis on the system I designed. PhD Abstract. Academic profile. Academic publications. Urine is an intimate, powerful, and often overlooked bodily fluid at the center of my current research and artistic practice.

I’m also teaching in these fields (agrégé* d’arts appliqués) along art practices.

I’m open to discussions and collaborations, feel free to reach out: valentinauboisliogier@gmail.com
